Why do you need this training?

The CDM 2015 Regulations apply to far more jobs than obvious construction site work.  Many facilities management and building services contractors can unwittingly become involved in a Construction Design Management (CDM) project.  Without knowing it, they expose themselves to legal duties of care for which they are not prepared.

CDM covers many aspects of facilities management and building services.   You and your employees need to know where CDM applies and how you can meet your duties of care if it does.

The main reasons why you need to provide CDM training include:

• CDM probably applies to some but perhaps not all of your work activities – you need to be able to spot the difference

• CDM imposes new legal duties of care on you

• Your Clients and Principal Contractors have to be able to show that the contractors they use understand their CDM duties – this training will help you demonstrate that you do

• As part of your CHAS assessment we will be looking for CDM training – this training will help you pass your CDM assessment
