Onboarding Process – Secure Your Supply Chain

Step 1

Match Your Supply Chain List

Your supply chain data is collected and imported into the CHAS Client Portal. We then complete a data match of your supplier list against our existing database of CHAS approved contractors, so you can assess the existing levels of accreditation within your supply chain.

Agree Compliance Levels

We work closely with your business to identify your management system needs, determine your target level of supply chain compliance and agree on the specific assessments your contractors need to complete to achieve either SSIP, PAS 91 or the Common Assessment Standard.

Step 2

Step 3

Validate Your Supply Chain Data

CHAS utilises Creditsafe, Companies House and other specialist data cleansing processes to cleanse and improve the quality of your supply chain data – finding and correcting errors, inconsistencies, duplications and missing entries as well as identifying and recording individual contact details for key members of staff in your supplier lists.

Achieving Compliance

Your supply chain is invited by CHAS to complete their annual risk-based question set via e-mail and outbound telephony communications that have been developed and agreed with you. Our expert assessors will then help guide your contractors through the assessment process to ensure they become accredited quickly and easily.

Step 4

Step 5

Increased Visibility

You can then instantly connect with your suppliers and manage and review their compliance status in the CHAS Client Portal. We provide a full audit trail of compliance, so you’ll have peace of mind knowing that you’re fully covered in the event of an accident or incident. You can also integrate your supply chain data directly into the CHAS Client Portal via a secure API link.

Monitor, Manage And Review

The CHAS Client Portal enables you to monitor and review your entire supply chain in one place so that you are always up to date on who is compliant. You can search for new contractors to expand your supplier list, create job-specific or task-based supply chain lists and monitor renewal dates and other important criteria such as public liability insurance expiry dates.

Step 6

CHAS Client Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

You can become a CHAS client if you have a supply chain of at least 50 subcontractors in the UK.

CHAS client membership is completely FREE, as are the additional client services at your disposal.

You must first complete the sign-up and verification process to begin using the CHAS Client Portal. Once your account has been created, you can sign in and view the compliance status of your supply chain network, message all subcontractors in your supply chain and search for subcontractors by geographic location, service type and compliance level.

When you submit a search enquiry using our Contractor Search Tool, CHAS will scan its existing database of over 32,500 prequalified contractors to identify suitable candidates for your project and specified location.
