It enables care providers to showcase adherence to health, safety, and SSIP core standards, along with addressing other risk management aspects like environmental standards and modern slavery concerns. CHAS Care serves as an ideal interim audit ahead of CQC evaluation, ensuring that comprehensive health and safety management systems are in place, including necessary policies and documentation.

CHAS Vehicle Compliance Scheme

Developed with National Highways and Driving for Better Business, the CHAS Vehicle Compliance Scheme (VCS) evaluates the compliance and safety of work vehicles and fleet operations across 14 key risk areas, including the driver, vehicle maintenance, record keeping, and safe working practices. By providing a comprehensive framework outlining how fleets should be run, the VCS enables businesses to demonstrate that they prioritise the management of work-related road risks, which can unlock benefits such as reduced road incidents, injuries and breakdowns, as well as cost savings from reduced operational and repair costs and preferential insurance premiums.
