Our Credentials

CHAS is an industry authority on UK compliance and health and safety legislation.

To ensure our continued status as a trusted advisor and leading provider of accreditation services, we undergo an annual third-party audit that allows us to achieve and maintain the Health and Safety Executive’s (HSE) Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) standard.

We also demonstrate quality management to ISO 9001 standard and environmental management to ISO 14001. Our health and safety assessment complies with the stage 1 health and safety pre-qualification, as defined by CDM 2015.

CHAS works with over 100 assessors, who are NEBOSH-qualified practising health and safety professionals who attend CHAS-specific training.

SSIP

CHAS is a founding member of SSIP, the Safety Schemes in Procurement organisation. We played an integral part in the launch of SSIP in May 2009 and are highly invested in protecting and furthering its purpose — to reduce health and safety assessment costs and duplication in the supply chain by having cross-recognition between assessment bodies.

Our Team

We’re a team of 144 people based in Merton, London. Half of us work on the product (designing and coding), and the other half work with the community. We love what we do, and who we do it with. We’re a team of makers, thinkers, explorers and theater singers. We approach work and play with curiosity and experimentation, using what we learn to create meaningful digital products that connect with people, just like you.
